Welcome to jimdrewes.com, a little spot on the web for me - Jim Drewes. Things have changed around here a bit lately. This site used to be a semi-private, blog-ish place where my friends and I would exchange posts about whatever we felt like. For various reasons I've moved that site to classic.jimdrewes.com. This page is now simply a jumping-off point to get to my various presences on the web. You'll find jimdrewes.com classic, my blog, my linked-in profile, pictures, and whatever else I decide to link to.

The previous jimdrewes.com website is now located at classic.jimdrewes.com. Please understand - this is NOT a blog. This is just a site where my friends and I would post stupid little posts to one another. Additionally, if you look at the posting dates, this hasn't really been very active for a few years.

I've decided to finally start a dedicated blog. I got a little tired of people referring to classic.jimdrewes.com as my "blog." The old jimdrewes.com was never intended to be a blog. It wasn't limited to my own thoughts and opinions. So, to make it clear, I've started blog.jimdrewes.com, which is strictly dedicated to my own thoughts and posts.

Pictures/Video

I use Picasa as my online photo repository, and I try to keep it updated. There are a bunch of pictures up there. For my home videos, I try to get everything put up on YouTube. I'm a little behind on getting those online though.

Social Networking

There are an aweful lot of social networking sites out there these days. I have mixed feelings about becoming too involved in maintaining an online presence through social networking. You could spend a full 40 hour week just keeping up your profiles. So, for now I'm only really active at all on a couple.
