About MeMy name is Jim Drewes. I'm a web developer, working at BJC HealthCare in St. Louis, Missouri. In addition to the C#/ASP.NET, and ColdFusion work that I do at BJC, I also dabble in PHP, Java, and Ruby. I currently have websites that I've written in PHP and Ruby on Rails. To top it all off, I'm a Linux fanatic as well.About This WebsiteThis website is written entirely in Ruby on Rails and HTML. The first version of jimdrewes.com, which existed for about 4 or 5 years, was written in PHP. It was converted to Ruby as an experiment and to start implementing AJAX. The original PHP version consisted of thousands of lines of PHP code, plus full HTML templates on top of that. This Ruby implementation contains only a few hundred lines. |
