So today was Angela and I's 4th anniversary. Yeah, long time. Well, it's about to get even longer.

'Cause I bought this book you see:

And I cut a hole in it:

And then I put this in it:

And gave it to her. It seemed to go over rather well. :)

I also included little bits o' history from the past four years throughout the book (movie ticket stubs, concert stuff, etc...).

She totally wasn't expecting it b/c it was "too obvious" I'd do this on our anniversary. Reverse-reverse psychology wins again.

I remember talking to Her about how she was having a ring made or something when we were at Jim's wedding. It looks really awesome. I remember her saying that she did not want a diamond, so what did she end up getting???

It's an alexandrite. Changes color in various lighting conditions. Pretty cool.

Fun fact: a _real_ alexandrite that size would have been around 7500 bucks. An alexandrite from a lab cost about 25 times less.

lets start a pool about how/when kurt's gonna give in. lets see...for me to make my pick i need more background info....kurt...when is kate gonna be done with what she's doin' now, and how long would it take you to (theoretically) save ~1500 bucks for an engagement ring.

She will have her master in education in May of 2005. So she will be done with school in 6 months.

My official Jim Drewes bet is that Kurt will see what time-frame all of us bet, take the quickest one (within reason), and add a month or two to it so it doesn't look like he got engaged as soon as we thought. Thus, if someone guesses 8 months, someone else guesses 10, and 12 and 14, Kurt would probably get engaged in 9 months.

also, i think kurtman did it in the library with the revolver.
colonel mustard was his accomplice for reasons i have yet to figger out...but i think it had something to do with wisconsin losing to MSU last weekend. heaven forbid. jimmuh....how is married life treating you? and disco...have you set a date yet? i cant wait to go to another wedding and get us all together. is it ok if i take jim's cousin with me?

Boy Kevin that was a good one.... Good Lord, if it was a joke then it was not funny the first 5 times that you made sure that everyone knew that you were not invited to Jimmy's wedding. Hrmmmm I wonder why??? Oh and I am sorry that you think I am a joke, that is fine with me, because I know that I am doing soemthing with my life... I am not still living in my parents basement,( or did you finally grow a pair and get your own place)???

Actually Jimmy would it be possible for you to write some code for the website, so when I log in it would just erase all of Kevin's comments so I do not have to even look at them ever again??

Additionally, I never expected to be invited to Jim's wedding, I was never that great of friends with him like you guys were. I only met him because of Mike and didn't have that last year together with the group because I had to leave.

The thing that bummed me out most about was the fact that both Wood and Brinker were in town and I didn't get a chance to hang out with them. I'm over that now though.

We found out that her particular stone turns ::bright:: red under a blacklight. It's pretty cool.
