Avatar Mr. Bungle? Or, A.C. perhaps (disco knows who I'm talking about.)

Actually, my guess is U2.

Avatar yea...i keep forgetting about the important stuff. i'm currently addicted to film, particularly learning how to use maya (and for those of you who know anything about that program it is vast)

Avatar Maya is for sissies... Blender all the way.

Avatar A.C. All the way.

I've seen the new U2 online in a few places for the past week and a half or so. Needless to say, I haven't downloaded it.

Does it bother anyone else that, on the U2 iPod commercial, bono counts off "one, two, three, fourteen" in spanish before the song starts?

Avatar I thought about that the first time i heard the song, but the only reason it doesn't bother me is that i attribute it to the attempt to emphasize the song's title. People having vertigo is generally attributed to a fear of heights...people looking down and realizing suddenly that they are much higher than they previously realized. Hence the jumping from 3 to 14.

Edit: ha, didn't realize i used attribute twice in that sentence...chalk that up to clicking on "window" -> "attribute editor" so many times i can't count it.

i had never heard of blender before, but as i have full access to maya i will be immersing myself in it as fully as possible (in other words: screw you jimmy).

Avatar that's nice kevin...but considering that we're talking about graphics programs and not editing programs...

by the way, back to the subject of the post: i just found out that u2 will be the musical guest on saturday night live next week. who's watchin'?!

Avatar FCP Does rule... nobody is arguing that.

Avatar Do you think they'll play the wrong vocal track for them, too?

(note: this is a joke. Don't like U2, but I guess he can sing)

Avatar Hold on, I need to get my foot out of my mouth.

I'd claim I knew that was just saying that, but in truth I just got confused. I had worked I believe four 12 hour days in a row and just...yeah yeah yeah.

Avatar Jimmy - Just try and use Maya, I think you'll change your mind pretty quick.

Timmy - CTRL + A - learn it, love it, live it.

Disco - Agree with Timmy on the lyrics, makes sense and is also probably an attempt at being "original"

Kevin - 12 hour days? 4 of them? What on god's green earth are you doing? FYI - FCP 4 is an NLE and Maya is a 3D anim/design package. Apples and Oranges. Can you handle all those acronyms, woot?!?! Also, FCP is the standard for indie film makers and independants. Most commercial houses are still using Avid. The more you know...

Avatar Ahhhhh.. but see... Blender is free. You can't beat free.

Thats why Kurt's Mom reigns supreme.

Avatar Which would explain my leaning toward FCP. The more I use the program, the more I love it.

And those 12 hour days, I was doing tech for a ballet version of the Velveteen Rabbit. The people running the tech side were morons. It took us TWO AND A HALF days to focus lights, for a road show. Ridiculous.

Avatar Ballet version of the velveteen rabbit?

Oh....

My........

GOD!

Avatar Hey, I don't decide the shows, they just come through town and I work on them. Did I ever tell you about the time I saw Rockapella....FIVE TIMES?

And yes, The Velveteen Rabbit was horrible. There was some absolutely awful music and singing that went along with it too that took two days to fully exterminate from my head.
