Huygens probe released tonight

Cassini's probe destined for Titan is being released from ze mothership tonight (8pm PST); it's set to reach titan on the 14th of Jan.

It has all sorts of crazy crap onboard, like a gas chromatograph and mass spectrometer. Why? Because it can.

out of all the kewl things on that list you picked out a GC-MS to tell us about. Disco, the other things listed are much cooler. (ok, this is just me geeking out since I know what these two insruments are)

i'm actually gonna have to help kurt berate disco here even after he made a woody's mom joke. disco, the two things you picked are rather garden variety instruments. i bet the U of MN and k state have about 50 of those things put together. the other stuff is what was wack. wack, i say.
