http://www.testmyfirewall.com/ is able to determine the private IP address assigned to your computer by your router (at least on a Windows machine, not yet tested in Linux).

Any Idea How?

Avatar Could be a port sniffer. Try snort, www.snort.org.

Avatar Well, yeah. It IS a port sniffer. It even tells you that its scanning 1500 ports. I suppose if it found a port to connect through, the response from your machine may contain your internal IP, but my personal router/firewall isn't set up to access the ports on any IPs above 100, and yet it came back with my 101 machine.
