I can't find any specific details on which intel chip it will be, but they're offering a 3.6GHz P4 dev kit for rent for a thousand bucks to their ADC members.

Every PowerPC version of OSX has also been built for an Intel chip. I'm impressed that Apple's been planning this for 5 years and it was leaked only a week or two before the Keynote Address.

It's been speculated ever since they bought NeXT that OSx86 existed, but it was never confirmed (imo, anyway).
