Bummer, Cards

Well, I'm sure everyone knows that the Cardinals just lost to the Astros.

Are there any other MLB teams that have curses that we can help them break? First we let the Red Sox break their world series curse last year (in a big way, too). Then, we let the Astros go to their first world series in the 40+ year history of the team. Who's next?

You should probably let the cubs win or something. Isn't there a team in Toronto or some crazy canuk city?

Toronto Blue Jays, yes, but they won a couple of world series back in 91/92. And there used to be the Montreal Expos, but they're now the Washington Nationals. They pretty much suck - they've been to the playoffs once. So, yeah. Maybe we could let them beat us next year.

Worst curse left has gotta be the cubs.

I emailed two cubs fans in my office the following trivia tidbit:

Some things that have happened since the Cubs last won the world series:
-Man walked on the moon
-Radio, television, and the computer were invented
-Two World Wars
-11 constitutional amendments
-16 presidents
-Haley's comet passed by Earth twice
-The Titanic was built, sailed, sunk, had a movie made about it, was found on the bottom of the ocean floor, and had a re-make of the original movie done

i've heard that list somewhere. it was all over the radio two years ago after bartman-gate.
