hey everyone. guess what? i made it through basic training and now i'm at Officer Candidate Skewl (OCS) here at fort benning, GA. i must say that going through basic training in the middle of summer in south carolina is not fun. it's fucking hot. we had probably a couple dozen heat casualties in the company. just a train wreck. absolute train wreck. i got carry around an M16A2 with me everyday for ~8 weeks, got to shoot shit daily, make ten mile road marches, PT 2 5 am everyday (sometimes earlier) and was dead to the world for 10 weeks but i made it through. OCS is a lot more laid back than basic. we have more "priveleges." it's awesome. i've been branched a "chemical" officer. not really sure what life will be like as a chemical officer, but i do know that come march (or mebbe sooner) i'll be stationed at fort leonard wood for around 6 months. for those of you who don't know that means i'll be just 2 hours down 44 from STL. AND, assuming i graduate when i'm supposed to from OCS i'll be heading home for some much needed R&R for a while between thanksgiving and new years. yeah...woody will be around. plan on it. boo ya.
anyway, i gotta run, but i hope everyone is doing well and know that i got my cell phone back finally aso i can actually make phone calls and stuff now. call me whenever you wanna, ok? PTFO!
